while still waiting for our departure to the research area for conducting our survey, we try to fill our time swimming, camping in the mountains with a fire/bbq, swimming, going to our beloved castle bar, and spending some time with Christoph, our dear and sweet friend/colleague who does his research in Bejing about a ... Lake. Lucky we, because he is facing even worse constraints and problems in the way to create a scientific well based and qualitative master thesis.
I would be lying if I said we are still waiting to go to the lake. Today our partners told us we can join them for three days to help them with the pre-survey. The real survey will take place 'at the end of June' and then they will send us the necessarily data for finishing our thesis, normally at the end of July. That means we will have stayed here for three months, to fulfil our case-study and thesis, and only have seen the rural areas of China for three days with some company of professors or translators.
Elias and Edward are sometimes longing to be back in EU and finish this IMRD program as soon as possible, because sometimes it 'almost' gets on our nerves.
